The Football Social Responsibility Department within the Malta Football Association held a number of initiatives during the recent international week in line with the Association’s Football For Life programme.   For the first time in an international home match, partially-sighted and blind fans were able to enjoy the atmosphere and follow Malta’s UEFA Nations League games against Kosovo and Faroe Islands with a live descriptive commentary at the Trophies Lounge. The commentary was conducted in an animated manner, tinged with humour, some anecdotes and a good deal of fun, by Team MT members Frank Zammit, Joven Grech (Tenisha), Konrad Sultana, Luke Dalli, Riccardo Flask, Nate Darmanin, Joseph Armani, Valentina Rossi and Peter Busuttil. The Malta Guide Dogs Foundation co-ordinated these visits. ALS MALTA The Malta FA also hosted the ALS Malta Foundation during the resent international matches at the Trophies Lounge, with the guests, led by ALS Malta founder Bjorn Formosa, also receiving Malta shirts from the Association’s marketing department. Last Sunday, Team MT, the national selection representing members of the local media and entertainment industry, played a friendly match against a selection from first division side Żejtun Corinthians and members of their supporters club. The match raised €800 in aid of ALS Malta.
