In last week’s top futsal league match, champions Valletta maintained their winning start after easing past the erstwhile unbeaten Swieqi United 7-1. The Citizens took an early lead through Gia Nikvasvili whose goal paved the way for a comfortable 5-0 lead by the end of the first half. Although Swieqi United tried to make a reaction in the second half, it wasn’t enoough to stop the Lillywhites from adding two more goals.  Valletta’s scoresheet included braces from Nikvasvili and Mohammed Lamari together with a goal apiece for Camilo Andres Gomez Vanegas, Shawn Vella and Dylan Musu. Swieqi United’s consolation goal was scored by their captain Dusan Rakic. Luxol stayed top after a 9-2 victory over Pietà Hotspurs. Emil Andrei Raducu scored a hat-trick for Luxol while Celino Alves hit a brace. Zvezdan Vukovic, Mark Zammit, Andy Mangion and George Frendo got the other goals for Luxol while Karl Sciortino and Maycon Victor were on target for Pietà Hotspurs. OTHER RESULTS Birkirkara FC Futsal vs Luxol St Andrews U19 18-3 UOM Students Futsal Team vsSwieqi United U21 11-4 Tarxien Rainbows vs UM Futsal Academy 10-1 STANDINGS Luxol St Andrews 15; Swieqi United, Valletta 12; Birkirkara FC Futsal,Tarxien Rainbows 9; University of Malta Students Futsal Team 6; Pietà Hotspurs, Swieqi United U21, UM Futsal Academy 3; Luxol St Andrews U19 0. NEXT FIXTURES – Corradino Pavillion (Kick-off: 20.15) Monday, 12th NovemberValletta FC Futsal vs UM Futsal Academy Tuesday, 13th NovemberLuxol St Andrews U19 vs University of Malta Students Futsal Team Thursday, 15th NovemberPietà Hotspurs vs Birkirkara FC Futsal Friday, 16th NovemberTarxien Rainbows vs Luxol St. Andrews
