Luxol and Swieqi United maintained their positive momentum with both having maximum points after their opening four matches.  Luxol cruised to a 14-2 win over their Under-19 squad while Swieqi United were 4-2 winners against the University of Malta Students Futsal Team on matchday 4 of the 2018-19 Malta FA Futsal League. The Universitarians, under the guidance of coach Clayton Felice, seem to be finding their feet after their close-season overhaul. Meanwhile, Swieqi United, led by player-coach Boycho Marev, look to have what it takes to challenge the big guns this season. UM broke the deadlock after seven minutes, through captain Neil Cauchi, but Swieqi United turned the score in their favour with goals from Marev and Andrè Ciancio. Six minutes after the break, Swieqi United added another goal through Stefan Camilleri. Three minutes later, the Universitarians reduced the arrears through Daniele Degennaro but Swieqi sealed their 4-2 win with a fourth goal from Leonardo De Souza. Birkirkara obtained their second consecutive win, this time beating Swieqi United U-21 10-1. Valletta, who have a game in hand following their participation in the UEFA Futsal Champions League, made it three wins in a row after seeing off Tarxien Rainbows 8-1.  Finally, Pietà Hotspurs proved too strong for UM Futsal Academy, winning 11-5. STANDINGS Luxol St Andrews, Swieqi United 12; Valletta 9; Birkirkara, Tarxien Rainbows 6; Pietà Hotspurs, Swieqi United U-21, University of Malta Students Futsal Team, UM Futsal Academy 3; Luxol St Andrews U19 0. NEXT FIXTURES Monday, 5th November Birkirkara vs Luxol St Andrews U-19 (Corradino Sport Pavillion –20.15) Tuesday, 6th NovemberSwieqi United vs Valletta (Corradino Sport Pavillion – 20:15) Thursday, 8th NovemberUOM Students Futsal Team vs Swieqi United U-21 (Corradino Sport Pavillion – 20.15) Friday, 9th NovemberUM Futsal Academy vs Tarxien Rainbows (Corradino Sport Pavillion – 20:15)Luxol St Andrews vs Pietà Hotspurs (National Sport School – 20:45)
