Team MT, Radisson Golden Sands staff unite for good cause

A charity match between Team MT, made up of members of the local media and entertainment industry, and the staff of the Radisson Golden Sands generated the sum of €2,500 in aid of Jaydon’s Dream Foundation. The game, played on Tuesday evening at the Melita FC pitches, ended in a 2-0 win for Team MT but the result was certainly of secondary importance as the aim of the match was to support Jaydon who suffers from cerebral palsy. Jaydon’s wish is to be able to walk and play like normal children. Since the team’s launch earlier this year, Team MT members have been training and playing friendly matches on a regular basis to collect money for charity. The game on Tuesday followed appearances at the Puttinu Cares Marathon in May, a game against the Women’s National Team Over 35, and a visit to the Corradino Corrective Facility. These events are also part of the Malta FA’s Football For Life programme Team MT founder and co-ordinator Peter Busuttil urged commercial and business entities to join up with Team MT as part of their corporate social responsibility initiatives and give a donation to a charity of their choice. The next commitment for Team MT is a game against Gozitan team Oratory Youths, on 26th October, in aid of ARKA Foundation.
