Malta will again be on international duty on Wednesday 14 November. This time the stage will be Rhein Park Stadion in Vaduz where Pietro Ghedin’s team will be the guests of Liechtenstein in another friendly match.   After having performed more than discreetly in their two away World Cup 2014 Group assignments against the might of Italy and the Czech Republic, losing 2-0 and 3-1 respectively, our boys will again be tuned to rehearsing mode when they face the modest, even if  far from easy, sparring opponents from Liechtenstein. The Italian coach Ghedin is aware that a match of this nature should provide him with an opportunity to monitor all his resources, including the emergent ones, while at the same time generate fire in his outfit which could extend our national team’s run to five wins on the trot in friendly matches. The inclusion of several debutants in his provisional squad is indicative of our mentor’s readiness to keep replenishing his list with encouraging faces and thus provide them with the necessary international exposure. The core players in the team are obviously the backbone of a side that has so far raised hopes of a refreshing era for our team, even if positive results are still eluding our national side. The upcoming international encounter in Vaduz could well provide further impetus to this belief. Indeed, we all look forward to a fruitful outcome on Wednesday. National 'A' Team - 18 Man SquadInternational Friendly MatchLiechtenstein vs MaltaVenue: Rheinpark Stadion, VaduzDate: 14/11/2012 - Time: 19:00 hrs     Name DOBClub Club Country APPGoalkeepers:    Justin Haber09/06/1981Mosta FCMalta43Andrew Hogg02/03/1985Enosis Neon ParaliminiCyprus29Defenders:    Andrei Agius12/08/1986Latino CalcioItaly31Ryan Camilleri22/05/1988Hibernians FCMalta2Jonathan Caruana24/07/1986Valletta FCMalta23Luke Dimech11/01/1977Mosta FCMalta71Clayton Failla08/01/1986Hibernians FCMalta21Edward Herrera14/11/1986Birkirkara FCMalta6Alexander Muscat14/12/1984Sliema Wanderers FCMalta17Midfielders:    Shawn Bajada19/08/1983Valletta FCMalta31Roderick Briffa24/08/1981Valletta FCMalta67Paul Fenech20/12/1986Birkirkara FCMalta12Ryan Fenech20/04/1986Valletta FCMalta29Rowen Muscat05/06/1991Birkirkara FCMalta0Gareth Sciberras29/03/1983Birkirkara FCMalta31Forwards:    Andrew Cohen13/05/1981Hibernians FCMalta50Andre' Schembri27/05/1986Omonia NicosiaCyprus45Terence Vella20/04/1990Hamrun Spartans FCMalta0
