Going to Russia 2018

This year’s  McDONALDS FOOTBALLPLUS For Kids educational football programme came to an end on Saturday, with the selection of one local kid to participate as a Player Escort during the 2018 FIFA World Cup Finals which will be held in Russia. Julian Camilleri Konov will be Malta's representative, as a player escort, in the 2018 FIFA World Cup Finals. A total of 61 boys and girls had been shortlisted by the organisers from amongst hundreds of applicants. The remaining 60 kids will participate as Player Escorts in one of the Malta National Team’s home matches in the new UEFA Nations League competition, namely 10th Sept 2018    -   MALTA vs AZERBAIJAN17th Nov 2018    -    MALTA vs KOSOVO20th Nov 2018    -    MALTA vs FAROE ISLANDS The McDonalds FOOTBALLPLUS For Kids programme is an MFA initiative which seeks to IMPROVE THE IMAGE OF THE GAME OF THE PEOPLE and which for the last three years was run between February and May with Educational Football Festivals being held in various localities. No less than 1000 local kids participate in these festivals every year. The Youth F.A. and McDonalds play an important role in making this programme a success. Saturday’s Final Event Programme included Football & Fun Activities·and obviously the draws, with the main draw being made by Mr. Paul Dragan, General Manager of McDonalds (Malta). During the breaks, McDonalds provided the Kids with mineral water bottles and fruit packs.
