Gibraltar FA Officials on Familiarisation Visit

An official delegation from the Gibraltar FA is currently on a familiarisation visit to the Malta Football Association.   The delegation comprises six officials and is headed by Mr Richard Manning the Gibraltar FA General Secretary. One of these officials is Mr Allen Bula, Gibraltar national team coach, who is expected in Malta on Thursday 25th October. The visit, on similar lines as that of the Cyprus FA in the mid-nineties, is intended to familiarise the delegation with the workings of the Malta Football Association, its operations in all departments on a day-to day-basis and other general duties of the top MFA officials, heads of departments, including the referees’ sector, the technical centre, the national team coach as well as managerial staff of various facilities at the MFA Complex.    There will also be meetings with officials of the Malta Youth FA and visits to the Luxol St. Andrew’ s Regional Stadium and Hibernians Stadium. The delegation will also be watching the friendly match between Malta U-21 and Italy U-21 B. Since the 1st October 2012, the UEFA Executive committee allowed the GFA as a provisional member. In May 2013, the UEFA Congress will meet again and all 52 member associations will be asked to vote again regarding the GFA full membership with UEFA and hence full membership with FIFA. During their stay in Malta the Gibraltar FA officials, will be taken on various cultural, sightseeing and informal tours around the island.
