Hibs youths wrap up Section B title with resounding win

Hibernians celebrated their Youth League Section B success with a bang on Tuesday night as they obtained a convincing 6-0 victory over Ħamrun Spartans at the Victor Tedesco Stadium. The Paolites secured the title weeks in advance but they were clearly motivated to maintain their positive run. Young midfielder Daneel Abela was the catalyst of Hibernians’ victory on Tuesday as he scored five goals. The sixth and final goal was scored by Joseph Mbong who also plays for the senior team. Hibernians finished on top with 51 points from 18 matches, seven points above second- placed Ħamrun Spartans who have also been promoted to Section A. Referee Kurt Saliba controlled Tuesday’s match in front of a good crowd at the Tedesco Stadium.
