Champions Valletta play Balzan, Birkirkara face Sliema

 Champions Valletta and Balzan, runners-up in the BOV Premier League, will go head to head in the semi-finals while Birkirkara take on Sliema Wanderers as the draw of the BOOST Diesel FA Trophy was made on Monday 23rd April, at the Trophies Lounge. The first team out of the bowl were Birkirkara FC, who will meet Sliema Wanderers FC in the first semi-final this Saturday 28th April at the National Stadium, kick-off 16:00. Birkirkara finished fourth in the league while the Wanderers had to be content with rank seven. Newly crowned champions Valletta FC take on league runner-ups Balzan FC in the second semi-final. This fixture will be played this Sunday, also at the National Stadium, at 16.00.The winners of the two semi-final encounters will earn the right to contest the final on Saturday, 5th May, 2018. This match will be also played at the National Stadium with a kick-off time of 17.00, a match that will bring the curtains down on the 2017/18 domestic football season at senior level.
