MALTA     1ALBANIA 5 The Malta Under-19 team began their commitments in the Roma Caput Mundi with a 5-1 defeat to Albania on Monday.  Coach Wayne Attard fielded a young team for this match with five players in Malta’s starting line-up a year younger than their opponents. Although Albania deserved their win, the 5-1 scoreline was somewhat harsh on the Maltese boys as they created a string of scoring chances and also hit the post during the game. Albania scored three times in the first half to all but secure their win. Carlo Zammit Lonardelli, on as a substitute, scored Malta’s consolation goal in the second half. The Malta Under-19 side meet the Lazio Regional Selection in their second Group B match on Tuesday (kick-off 3pm). Their final group match is against Greece EPS Pellas on Thursday. MALTA STARTING FORMATIONRashed Al-Tumi, Liam Mackay, Zak Grech, Romario Camilleri, Dejan Debono, Nicholas Farrugia, Ayrton Attard, Christian Gauci, Alexander Satariano, Shaun Dimech, Clyde Bouvet.
