Addressing a Press Conference after a training session he conducted for the Malta team in Plzen, the Czech Republic, national coach Pietro Ghedin said that his players are after a positive result, something which was missing from our last matches.   ‘After two good performances but no points we want to obtain something tangible. It is our aim to play well but also get points from our matches. ‘We are not presumptuous. I believe in our team and we have to believe in our ability,’ the Italian stressed. ‘We play well but we get punished from mistakes which can be avoided. We have to solve this and carry on in our style of play. We have arrived at a point where we need something more than a good showing.’ ‘I want a good performance, butwe also need a positive result. Every team we play against expects a win. We are frustrated about this situation of not obtaining a positive result,’ the Italian said.                          Referring to the formation, Ghedin said that three to four players are doubtful, with Daniel Bogdanovic and Andrew Cohen definitely out. He said that such a situation gives him the opportunity to draft in new faces, as is the case this time with Ayrton Azzopardi. Michael Mifsud, stressed that it goes without saying that every match is taken seriously and the one against the Czech Republic is very important in a very tough group. He said he will do his very best and hopes the team will get a good result. These thoughts were also echoed by Andre Schembri who pointed out the importance of being disciplined tactically if Malta wants to get the points. As to the pitch condition and temperature, reports say that the surface at the stadium is perfect and it is rather cold at 13 degrees, but ideal for football.
