The Malta FA Control and Disciplinary Board has awarded Siġġiewi FC a 3-0 win after finding St George’s FC guilty of causing the abandonment of the BOV Second Division match between the two clubs on Sunday, October 1, 2017.

The match, at the Sirens Stadium, was called off around the 35th minute after St George’s FC player Josef Dalli hit referee Sean Calleja. The score was 1-1.

Besides awarding Siġġiewi FC a 3-0 victory, the MFA Control and Disciplinary Board also ordered the deduction of two points from St George’s league tally and fined the club €250.

On Wednesday, the Malta FA Disciplinary Commissioner suspended St George’s FC player Josef Dalli for three years until October 3, 2020.

Dalli can appeal against the decision.
