The Malta U-21 team will be looking to open their account in Group 6 of the 2019 UEFA U-21 Championship qualifying campaign when they face Hungary on Tuesday evening in Gyor (kick-off 17.00.). Silvio Vella’s boys were on the brink of picking up their first point last Friday as their game against Cyprus was tied at 1-1 but the hosts struck a last-gasp goal to win 2-1. It was the second time in as many matches that the Malta U-21s suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat in this qualifying trek as, back in March, they also lost by the same scoreline against Belgium. Vella is not expected to make drastic changes from the team that started Friday’s qualifier against Cyprus. All the players are fit and there are no suspensions. Jean Borg scored Malta’s goal gainst Cyprus on Friday while Jake Grech had been on target in the defeat to Belgium. Malta are the only team to have played two games in Group F whille Hungary will be making their first appearance in this competition. MALTA U-21 SQUADGoalkeepers: Jake Galea (Ħamrun Spartans); Philip Schranz (Birkirkara).Defenders: Jean Borg (Valletta); James Baldacchino (Floriana); Karl Micallef (Ħamrun Spartans); Nikolai Muscat (Gżira United|); Dunstan Vella (Hibernians); Kurt Zammit (Birkirkara); Sean Cipriott (Tarxien Rainbows); Michele Sansone (Sliema Wanderers).Midfielders: Myles Beerman (Glasgow Rangers); Dexter Xuereb (Mosta); James Brincat (Tarxien Rainbows); Jake Grech (Birkirkara); Matthew Guillaumier (Birkirkara); Zachary Scerri (Gżira United).Forwards: Jurgen Degabriele (Hibernians); Aidan Friggieri (St Andrews); Joseph Mbong (Hibernians); Kyran Nwoko (Valletta).
