Borg, Bartolo, Falzon and Cutajar secure Exco seats

Mark Borg, Lino Bartolo, Paul Falzon and Michael Cutajar have secured the remaining four seats on the 14-strong Malta FA Executive Committee for season 2017-18 after they topped the two ballots, held during the Annual General Meeting on Saturday. In the election for the two Exco seats allocated to representatives of Member Clubs in General, Paul Falzon collected 65 votes ahead of Michael Cutajar who, with a total of 63 votes, was also elected. Paul Spiteri missed out after coming third in a tight vote with 62 preferences. There were also three candidates for the election of two Council members in representation of the other Member Associations – Lino Bartolo (SWAN), Mark Borg (Futsal) and Francis Muscat (IASC) 56. Borg and Bartolo will fill these two seats after polling 70 and 59 votes respectively. Muscat received 56 votes. The other Ordinary Members of the Executive Committee for season 2017-18 are: PREMIER DIVISION – Dione Borg, Dr Ian Micallef.FIRST DIVISION – Joseph Sammut, Laurence Seychell.SECOND DIVISION – Raymond Micallef, Mark Pullicino.THIRD DIVISION – Silvio Galea, Dr Cory GreenlandYOUTH FA – Joe MicallefGOZO FA – Dr Samuel Azzopardi.Last season, the MFA Executive Committee and MFA Council met nine times in all.
