The stifling heat proved no hurdle for FC Salzburg as they cruised to a 3-0 win over Hibernians in the first leg of their Champions League second qualifying round tie at the Hibernians Stadium on Tuesday evening. True to expectation, FC Salzburg were too strong for Hibernians who did well to hold out for the first 30 minutes but Valon Berisha struck home from the penalty spot two minutes past the half-hour to put the visiting side ahead. Three minutes later, Hee-Chan Hwang made it 2-0 with a well-hit strike after being released by Berisha and, nine minutes into the second half, Takumi Minamino increased their lead with a fortuitous goal. Four minutes from the end, Berisha spoiled his evening as he received a straight red card for a lunging tackle on Rodolfo Soares. Here is a selection of photos taken by Malta FA photographers Paul Zammit Cutajar and Joe Borg during Tuesday's match.
