During the important league win Hibernians obtained against Balzan last Sunday (3-1), Brazilian midfielder Jackson Lima Siqueira played his 200th match in the BOV Premier League. Jackson initially came to Malta to play for Sliema Wanderers but is now in his sixth season with Hibernians whom he joined at the start of 2012.  Widely considered as one of the best midfielders in Maltese football, the 34-year-old played in Brazil for a host of clubs. Prior to his move to Malta, Jackson Lima played for Gremio Cantanduvense de Futbol (2007), Bandeirantes Esporte Clube (2008/09) and Rio Preta Esporte Clube (2010), all Sao Paolo state based clubs who figure in the Brazilian Campeonato Paulista state leagues. With Sliema, Jackson Lima made his league debut on September 13, 2010, scoring the only goal in a 1-4 loss to Birkirkara. Then, in January 2012, he joined Hibernians and this is where he started to win prizes. Lima's first honour was the FA Trophy in 2012 as Hibs beat Qormi in the final, with the Brazilian scoring two goals, and again in 2013 with another goal in the final, also against Qormi (3-1). His highlight in Malta is undoubtedly winning the BOV Premier League in 2014/15. He also won the Super Cup with Hibernians in 2015. Jackson Lima is also close to amassing 200 official competitive appearances for Hibernians FC in all competitions. The match against Balzan was his 194th for the club. This total includes eight appearances in the qualification rounds of the UEFA Champions and Europa League against Sarajevo, Vojvodina, Spartak Trnava and Maccabi Tel Aviv.
