In line with the Malta Football Association’s project to revamp closer following for the national team and at the same time provide our representative players with the proper incentives to enhance their preparation in every aspect, a formidable array of commercial partners and sponsors, comprising high-profile Malta-based firms, will be in the forefront in providing strategic links with the association which is intended in the long run to be of reciprocal benefit to the football governing body and the commercial entities.    This is what the MFA Chief Executive Officer, Bjorn Vassallo, told the media in a Press Conference in which all the companies were represented. The association’s CEO said that the MFA is doing all in its powers to incentivise the public and boost the players’ technical and logistic preparation, and thus bring the Maltese and the national team players closer together. Mention was made of these incentives, such as the Goal Card Package for Malta’s home matches in the group stage of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil. The package, with its favourable pricing strategy was a welcome innovation. The MFA official also referred to the contract between the association and the Public Broadcasting Services (PBS) which would enable home matches for the ‘A’ and Under-21 teams to be transmitted live on radio and TV. This would help bring the representative teams closer to the public. While thanking the MFA Head of Marketing, Norman saliba, other officials within the association and the commercial partners and sponsors for the work done, the CEO augured success in these new and modern initiatives. During the Press Conference, each representative of the association’s partners and sponsors  also wished every success in these ventures to further promote our representative teams in the World Cup qualifiers ahead, the time window for such an initiative.  The entities are the Platinum Sponsors FXDD, Cisk as Gold Sponsors, Givova, the Kit Sponsors, Bortex, Grand Hotel Excelsior, MilesExpress, Montekristo Wines, Powerade and Starbene as Official Suppliers and/or Preferred Commercial Partners.      During the Prees Conference the new national teams’ full kit for the home and away matches were unveiled.
