The MFA’s new sponsorship agreement with the FXDD, the international online foreign exchange trading provider, signed on the 10th January has opened a new chapter for the Malta national teams.  ‘Thanks to this deal with the reputable firm,’ MFA president Norman Darmanin Demajo said, ‘our representative teams in all categories will stand to benefit from the different initiatives to be undertaken by the association’.    In fact the funds generated will be channelled towards a series of projects planned by the MFA in all spheres of activities even extending to organising chartered flights for Malta’s away matches.  The MFA president said that the association’s priorities when using these funds will be geared mostly to the technical projects, particularly to more professional preparation earmarked for Malta’s teams. This  includes those for the youths academy where the promising footballers will be exposed to more refined traing methods under the charge of Italian coach Sergio Soldano.  Darmanin Demajo expressed his extreme pleasure at this new sponsorship venture for the national teams, which has been due for the last ten years.  James Green, FXDD’s Managing Director, said that his firm has been committed to assisting local sport, and the deal just concluded forms part of this strategy. He also said that they were delighted to have chosen Malta as their European base, more so due to the kindness and helpful disposition of its people.  ‘I am hopeful that this agreement with the MFA will be the start of a long and fruitful association between the two parties,’ the FXDD top man concluded.
