Director of Refereeing Kevin Azzopardithis weekbetween 7-8 November,participated in the UEFA Referee Convention Workshop held in Vienna.
The gathering, that featured all 55 UEFA Member Associations, dealt with various topics related to refereeing including national organization, women’s refereeing, mentoring and recruitment. Kevin Azzopardi delivered a presentation of the local scenario; he was also chosen as Group Rapporteur during the Talent & Mentor Programme Workshop. During his visit – the first since being appointed as Director of Refereeing – Kevin Azzopardi was also involved in various networking meetings that will result in further opportunities abroad for local referees in the coming months. Meanwhile, UEFA will be supporting the Malta FA Refereeing Centre in two new international projects that will be rolled out in the coming months.
