Another intriguing Matchday from the BOV Women’s Leagues will be underway this evening with programme number five for the first tier and number four for the second tier.    BOV Women’s First DivisionThe new leaders of the BOV Women’s First Division, Birkirkara, will be the first team in action as they cross swords with newly-promoted side Gozo. The Stripes have beaten historical rivals Hibernians last week to take the lead in this division while also prolonging their clean sheet streak, keeping their post intact for four consecutive matches. On the other hand, Gozo are still adjusting themselves to life among the best teams on the island, as they have collected only one point from their first four outings. Meanwhile, holders Hibernians will be hoping to bounce back from last week’s defeat as they will face Raiders (Luxol). Following last week’s defeat, the Paolites are now one point behind Birkirkara, while Raiders are joint-bottom with Gozo at one point. Only one point separates Mgarr United and Kirkop United, who will be facing each other in the other match from this division. While Mgarr have seven points, Kirkop collected six and this match promises to be a delicate one for both sides. A win for either team, would see them keep track of the two above them, while also puts them clearly in third place. BOV Women’s Second DivisionTarxien Rainbows and Swieqi United will be the only match for this evening from the second tier, in a match which will see the leaders against the second place team. Swieqi are leading this division, having won their first three fixtures, scoring a total of 22 goals while conceding only one while on the other hand, the Rainbows are currently second, two points behind after drawing with Mosta in one of their early encounters. In the other match, scheduled for Wednesday, Mosta will take on Kirkop United Team B. After their first three matches, Mosta have collected four points while Kirkop are still seeking their first point of the season.
