The UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body held its plenary meeting today at the Westin Dragonara Resort in St. Julians. This is the first time that this prestigious UEFA body has held its plenary meeting in Malta. The ten-member body, which includes Vice-President of the MFA, Dr. Chris Bonett, is tasked by the statutes of UEFA with hearing and deciding on all disciplinary cases arising out of all UEFA competitions, particularly the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League.  “We are very honoured that once again UEFA has tasked our small association with such an important meeting. Following the success of the UEFA Top Executive Programme last September and the upcoming UEFA Club Licensing Workshop we personally have to thank the Chairman of the UEFA CEDB, Mr. Thomas Partl and the Head of the UEFA Disciplinary Services, Dr. Emilio Garcia, for putting their faith in us to deliver,” said Dr Bonett. The Malta Football Association is proud that once again UEFA has chosen Malta as its venue for one of its very important meetings, as a testament to the very solid relationship between the administrations of UEFA and the MFA, following the organisation UEFA Top Executive Programme Meeting last September, and the UEFA Club Licensing Workshop which will also be held in Malta next Autumn.
