Malta suffered their first loss of the Aphrodite Cup when earlier this morning they were beaten by  Lithuania 2-3. Thanks to this win, now Lithuania have three points while leapfrogging Malta who remained with one point following yesterday's draw against Israel. After the first 45 minutes have ended at 0-0, Lithuania bossed the match immediately in the second half as they stroke twice in a span of two minutes between the 49th and 51st minute. Mark Gatt introduced some new faces on the field with the aim to get back in the match and in the 80th minute, Malta reduced the score at 1-2 through Rachel Cuschieri. However, as Malta were seeking a possible equalizer, Lithuania scored the winning goal in the dying minutes of the match. Despite the two-goal disadvantage, Malta did not lean back and they found another goal through Dorianne Theuma. However, there was not enough time to find a dramatic equalizer with the match ending at 2-3 for Lithuania. Now, Malta will cross swords with Estonia on Sunday at 09:00, Malta's time.   Malta starting XI: Rachel Borg; Gabriella Zahra, Ann Marie Said (Alishia Sultana 45),  Charlene Zammit, Stephania Farrugia, Dorianne Theuma (C), Jade Flask, Shona Zammit, Ylenia Carabott (Kelly Agius Pace 70), Rachel Cuschieri, Martina Borg (Emma Xuereb 61).
