Leaders Hibernians will return to domestic action following the international break as they will go head to head with a spirited Kirkop United who are currently sitting in 4th place with eight points. Kirkop United have managed to earn precious points against the likes of Mgarr United and Raiders in their recent outings which helped them to leapfrog the latter into 4th place. Meanwhile, this is a must-win fixture for the Paolites knowing that they must cross swords with Mgarr United (3rd) and Birkirkara (2nd) in their upcoming couple of fixtures which may easily be crucial for the title’s fate.   Martina Borg (Striker; Hibernians FC): ‘’Despite our unbeaten run, we have to remain with our feet on the ground and remain consistent until the end. Kirkop is an opponent who can give a hard time to every team in the 1st Division and our match won’t be an exception. We shall keep improving ourselves from previous performances to cement our sole leadership.’’ Marie Claire Cilia (Midfielder; Kirkop United FC): ‘’We are coming from three positive performances in a row which undoubtedly boosted our morale and also increased our hunger to earn points match after match. We have prepared for this match like we do for the rest of the matches although we are aware that Hibernians are a strong squad. Although sometimes the results do not reflect our results, we never fear our opponents and hopefully we can manage to provide an impressive display against the leaders. Courtesy of our coaches’ guidance and teammates’ help, we can achieve more.’’ Hibernians FC(1st; 18 points) – Kirkop United (4th; 8 points).1st round result:Kirkop United 0-5 Hibernians FC (Dionne Tonna, own goal, Martina Borg, Corissa Vella, Ylenia Carabott).
