MFA Photographer wins Sports Photography of the Year Award

MFA photographer Paul Zammit Cutajar has been awarded with the prestigious Sports Photography of the Year award at the local Annual Journalism Awards held during the weekend.. For Paul this comes on the back of the other major sports award, the IOC ’Sport and Art’ Trophy, which he received about six months ago. Incidentally this is the second time that Paul has collected the IGM Sports Photography Award, with the first one being in 2013.  MFA Photographer Dominic Aquilna was last year's winner of this same award, so this one makes it a hat-trick for our photographers.  In his comments to mfa.com.mt Paul stated that "Major awards such as these encourage me to continue developing my art in sports photography, covering events, especially in the game of football that we so love."
