 The Malta Football Association welcomes applications for the first ever UEFA PRO to be held between September 2015 and April 2017.  Applications will be accepted on the premise that the JIRA panel fully approves MFA’s application to organise the UEFA PRO in June 2015.  Applicants need to be in possession of: ·         a valid UEFA A licence and ·         have at least 1 year experience as an A licence holder as per Article 17 of the UEFA Coaching Convention 2015. Prospective candidates will be required to sit for an interview and they need to hand in a video of a recent practical session of a duration ranging between 35 to 40 minutes with their application.  This course will take in a limited number of candidates which number will be communicated to us by the JIRA panel. The MFA has the right to refuse any application, yet all applications will be considered rigorously.   The application will need to be in the form of a letter addressed to the Director of Coach Education ·         expressing an interest to apply and ·         identifying the main reasons for application together with ·         a coaching CV. The course will be held in 12 modules ranging from 3 to 7 days per module and the first module will commence on Saturday 12th September 2015.  The course will have a duration of 422 hours including assessments, study visits, theoretical and practical sessions.  The course will be held in both the Maltese and English language. The dates of the first 3 modules are indicated in the table below:  SaturdayMondayTuesdayWednesdayModule 112/914/915/916/9Module 231/102/11-4/11Module 39/111/112/113/1 Further details of subsequent modules will be given in due course. The fee for the UEFA PRO course is 4000 euros.Maltese citizens and foreign coaches who have coached in Malta for at least 5 years  in the last 7 years will be given a grant by the MFA equivalent to 1500 euros such that the fee for course sums up to 2500 euros in order to help them to upgrade their coaching qualifications.   The course fee includes: ·         all course material, ·         the kit, ·         lunches and coffee breaks (when course is held in Malta). The candidates will be required to undergo 3 study visits abroad, one of which will be paid in full by UEFA, however the candidate needs to assume ALL the related expenses including all travel (air & land), insurance, accommodation and food when travelling abroad. Maltese Citizens and coaches who have coached in Malta for at least five years in the last seven years:The course fee can be paid in the following way:  ·         A deposit of 500 euros upon application.  The deposit is not refundable unless for valid health reasons.·         The first instalment of 1000 euros to be paid by 12th September 2015 (date of first module).·         The remaining balance of 1000 euros needs to be paid by March 2016 (date of fourth module). Foreign coaches who do not fall under the category listed above:·         A deposit of 1000 euros upon application.  The deposit is not refundable unless for valid health reasons.·         The remaining balance of 3000 euros needs to be paid in full by 12th September 2015 (date of first module). The closing date for applications will be Friday 22nd May at noon.  Late applications will be considered at a fee of 50 euros.”
