Huge victory for the Malta Under 19’s women national team

 The Malta Under 19’s women’s national team registered a huge victory Wednesday afternoon beating Godalming Town Ladies FC by a 9-0 final score in a friendly match played at the Centenary Stadium.  Even if playing against the wind for the first 45 minutes, our ladies managed to score twice between the 20th and the 25th minute, with the goals coming from Raina Giusti and Alishia Sultana.  The second half resulted into the easiest encounters for Mark Gatt’s side. Possesion of the ball was all the way to the Malta side with the other 7 goals being scored in the last 21 minutes.  Martina Borg added a 3rd one in the 69th minute while Brenda Borg (twice), Rodianne Zerafa (twice), Jade Flask and Nicole Cutajar scored all together another six goals from the 80th until the final whistle.  Our women’s A team will be playing another friendly against the same team on Friday 5th at 6pm but without the seven regular u19 players.  Malta’s starting line-up: 21.
