Malta to face Slovakia ahead of opening EURO 2016 Qualifier

The Malta national team touched down at Ostrava early this morning before travelling to Zilinafor tomorrow’s friendly match against Slovakia.  Pietro Ghedin’s men  had the morning free to recover from the strenuous journey and prepare for this afternnon’s official training session at the Zilina stadium. A slight drizzle and a cool 21C temperature characterised the training session.Ghedin, who is for the first tiem being assisted by Ray Farrugia,  will use this game as a test for young and upcoming playersand to integrate them with the experienced ones ahead of the difficult qualification matches Malta will have to face in Group H starting with Croatia on Tuesday.The international friendly match Slovakia against Malta kicks off on Thursday in the Zilina Stadium at 18:20hrs.
