GIRLS PRIMARY SCHOOLS 2013-2014 FESTIVAL SUCCESSFULLY CONCLUDED

  The training grounds at Ta’ Qali National Football Complex hosted the now established Girls primary schools 2013-2014 football festival on Friday 23 May. It was the final day of a season-long manifestation which this time attracted 200 girls aged between eight and ten years. The first day of the festival was on the 19th November 2013 followed by the second on 14th January 2014. The venues then were San Anton and St Martin’s schools respectively.  Ten schools were represented on this concluding day of the festival. They were San Anton, San Andrea, St Martin’s, St Catherine’s, Theresa Nuzzo, Zebbug Primary, Fgura Primary, St Francis, Birkirkara, St Monica, Gżira and Chiswick House School. Each school team was under the guidance of their PE teachers.The event was very enjoyable, with the youngsters indulging in keen competition within a fun environment. At the end of the festival Maria Mifsud, the MFA Deputy General Secretary, (Grassroots, Youth Development and Education) presented USB tokens to all the participants and their teachers. The girls were also given a bottle of Kristal water sponsored by General Soft Drinks, as well as a USB drive with women’s football promotional material sponsored by Team Sport.
