With Hibernians graving their name as champions of Malta for the third consecutive time and for the 12th time in their history following their 2-0 victory over rivals Birkirkara, the attention shifts on the relegation battle where Raiders (Luxol) and Kirkop United are tied at 14 points with three matchdays left.

As it stands, Raiders would remain in the top tier while Kirkop would be forced to face Swieqi United in the play-off,  in an attempt to save their place in the highest division. However, both teams have tough tasks this week as Kirkop will be crossing swords with newly-crowned champions Hibernians while Raiders will be facing second place Birkirkara. Meanwhile, Mgarr United will encounter Pembroke Athleta in the other match from the top division.

In the Second Division, we find an identical scenario like the top tier where leaders Gozo have already sealed promotion to the First Division while also being crowned as champions of the same division. Moreover, Swieqi United have assured themselves of a place in the play-off, where they will be striving to achieve promotion and be among the elite teams next season.

Coincidentally, both teams will be terminating their commitments in a direct encounter which won't have any impact on their classifications.

Two teams who had closed the gap on Swieqi at a certain point of the league but did not have what it takes to seize the chance in the following matches, Hamrun Spartans and Sliema Wanderers, will be facing each other in a match which is never shy of goals, particularly their breath-taking 4-3 match few weeks ago.

In the remaining match, Mosta and Kirkop United Team B will face each other in their final fixture of the season.

While the Under 11's festival will be played as usual at the Pembroke mini-grounds, the Under 13's festival is schedule on Sunday at the Gharghur grounds.
