Malta Under 21s succumb to injury time goal

Malta suffered a last minute goal to end up on the losing side when they faced Group Leaders Slovenia in an Under 21 Group 2 Qualification match.


 

  1. Slovenia took the lead through Lazarevic in the 32nd minute, while Terence Vella levelled things up for Malta in the 77th minute.
     
    With Malta closing in on a deserved draw, up came Slovenia's Podlogar to score the all important goal in the dying seconds (94th min) of the match.
