The Malta Football Association’s involvement in building new grounds in various areas of Malta and Gozo has been consistent with its declared policy of extending our country’s football infrastructure to outlying districts and in terms of regional football.
The latest venue to be available is the Sirens Ground which will cater for the northern region of Malta. The significant investment in the building of this ground is proof of the association’s endeavours to cater for the population of this area and thus help to make the game more popular not only in the hub of the island.
A landmark occasion for this new ground is the inaugural match scheduled for the 16th May. This encounter will herald other matches due to be played there. It will certainly be an event which will give due exposure to the association’s sterling work, also through the help of Sirens FC, as far as regional football in our islands is concerned.
